Re: Seen any good films lately? [3]
Interesting, I didn't expect it to be fun with the poor reviews it got. But then Gerard Butler and the Jaime actor could be fun to watch.
Which one of them was more fun on the screen?

Gerard Butler was a good "Baddie" he was pompous & vain Nikolaj thingamebob played Horus & I really liked him. He wasnt too "superhero" but he wasnt a wimp either. Geoffrey Rush played Ra which I found a bit oddish ? He kinda looked like an Anime brought to life

Geoffrey Rush is a bit old to be playing an active style god as opposed to a sit on the throne and grow a beard god. Action ain't his thing.

Not sure how that film managed to be so wrong in so many ways.

Great actors do not necessarily a great film make.

I have not yet. It's out here in the U.S. now.
I suppose I'll have to get it through my Netflix mailing subscription sooner or later.
You saw it already of course, right?

Re: Seen any good films lately? [3]
yep I already watched The Tale of Tales and its probably better appreciated on the big screen because all the places are real, even the interiors are real and not sets made for cinema.

Its nice to know there are places in the world that come up to my imagination Liked the rich dress that Salma Hayek wears, I think we spoke of this film a while ago ?

That trailer was preeetty bad though. Jeff Goldblum narrating every single thing we see on screen.
And anyway, it's not like these aliens would have had 20 years to prepare, the initial invasion failed, and if they heard about that immediately afterwards they would presumable have had to spend a great deal of that time travelling to the earth with their second invasion, right?

Re: Seen any good films lately? [3]
I watched Independence Day 2...it was just as dumb, loud and silly as the first one, but knowhere near as fun i.m.o, I didn't really care for any of the new characters (not really a huge Will Smith fan, but the movie suffers from his absence), and the plot felt really confused and badly paced, Jeff Goldblum and Brent Spiner were great fun to watch though.
5/10, worth watching once, but I wouldn't pay £10 to see at the cinema...
