I agree, though BF did go down that route with 8 and Charley in Zagreus/Scherzo (then completely ignored all developments in subsequent audios) and 8 is generally known as the romantic one (though more in the classical sense).

Re: All New Who
{{Really liked this and how they highlight the theme of fear- from their description }}-
'It occurs to me that FEAR was always hidden in their relationship. In Season 7 they were afraid of the mist between them. In Season 8 they were afraid of the revelation of themselves. In Season 9, after they finally accept themselves, it began the fear of losing each other.
Fear brought them together. Without the fear their affection could never grow so strong. However, in the end, they both got up the courage, to face their departure.

His play, Artefacts, was performed at The Bush Theatre in London in 2008 before a national tour, produced by new writing specialists Nabokov. Also in 2008 he adapted his radio play Love Contract for the Royal Court Theatre.
Also in 2010, Bartlett's play Love, Love, Love was premiered in a touring production. In 2012 it has its London premiere at the Royal Court. Michael Coveney, writing for Whatsonstage.com, called it "one of the most ambitious, and most accomplished, domestic dramas in a long while".
In October 2013 Bartlett won Best New Play at The National Theatre Awards for his play Bull, beating plays from both Alan Ayckbourn and Tom Wells.
In 2014 his play King Charles III premiered at the Almeida. It subsequently transferred to Wyndham's Theatre and in January 2015 won the Critics' Circle Award for Best Play of 2014. In April 2015 Bartlett's plays were awarded two additional Olivier Awards, his play King Charles III won Best New Play, and his play Bull, directed by Clare Lizzimore and produced by Supporting Wall at the Young Vic Theatre, won Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre.
Barlett's five-part television drama series Doctor Foster was broadcast in September and October 2015. The series achieved an average of 9.51 million viewers, and was one of the most viewed television drama series of the year. In 2009 Bartlett's play Cock premiered at the Royal Court directed by James Macdonald. It won the 2010 Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement In An Affiliate Theatre.
In the summer of 2010 Bartlett's work was staged for the first time at the National Theatre. Earthquakes in London, directed by Rupert Goold, was described by Michael Billington in the Guardian as an "epic, expansive play about climate change, corporate corruption, fathers and children".
Charles Spencer of the Daily Telegraph called it "the theatrical equivalent of a thrilling roller coaster ride", delivering "a rush of invention, humour and raw emotion".
Ok consider me impressed Moffat- looking forward to what he brings to Who!

Re: All New Who
Yes, but Petty, the ironic point is that Moffat's hiering of a "wow!" writer is just lik his "wow!" end of season specials. He hypes them up no end, and then they fail to deliver in any comprehensible way.
This guy might have an interesting cv, the choice might be interesting, but he's certainly not a writer to engender a "wow!" reaction.

{{I don't know if this guy is one of the two writers Moffat was referring too when he said that- I certainly have not claimed its so. I simply noted he is a new writer and Moffat had mentioned the two 'wow' writers were new to Who.
But regardless, I am frankly overjoyed that a, on the surface, silly sci-fi/fantasy family shop can get Olivier Award wining writers, whose own TV drama comfortably gets nearly 10 million viewers and a stack of awards wants to write for it.
Frankly I think any fan of the show should be delighted at such news, and that any other attitude seems to rather smack of just wanting to piss on Moffat from on high no matter what he does. }}}

Re: All New Who
not really. I think its reasonable to expect a 'wow' writer if he has publicised his next season as being written by some 'wow' writers, otherwise its false advertising. I would be pissed off if he hasn't, in fact, got some 'wow' writers but some unknown but competent writers. call me old fashioned if you will. But wow! means wow! and not meh!.

I hereby declare that from this moment on the "you are just a Moffat hater (i.e. you opinions doesn't matter)" card can only be played once a month, or else I'll be getting the garden hose. Same goes for the "you are a Moffat lover (i.e. you opinions doesn't matter)". This is me being kind. You don't want to see me mad.
No one has any right to decide what is or is not "correct" behavior or reaction for a Who fan. Except me. I am Admin and I own this thread.
Every opinion here is worth the same, every voice has the same right to speak.

Re: All New Who
I appreciate you using a firm hand when needed, Amarie, especially since you've kept your nose out of things for a while now. It would be nice to keep this a Moffat-free zone. If you can jigger things so that "Moffat" is automatically replaced with "Booliwalligans" or something, that might help. I know Eldo did something like this some years ago with the word 'crabbit' I believe, not sure how much work it is.

how about an electric shock to the goolies everytime the word Moffat is used? or maybe we can make it a magic word like 'Voldemort' in Harry Potter, everytime we say it Moffat appears next to us in a flash of smelly green smoke.

All well and fine to keep an eye on things, all well and good to intervene with an Admins hat on it when its seems necessary- but if you throw that weight around in circumstances where it is not warranted with accusations that about things which have not in fact occurred it lessens your own power and potentially causes a problem that did not exist before}}}
