If you've ever had vocal lessons you'd know how hard it is to sing the 'uh' sound on a high note without strangling. She pulled it off masterfully.

Re: The YouTube thread [2]
That was thought provoking ! Hits home better when film is slowed down & in colour. Wonder what happened to all those lives ?

Re: The YouTube thread [2]
Listening to that video of Chris's the 1800's wasn't really that long ago & with all the robbing, looting & boot stealing I think maybe the Neanderthals weren't so primitive ? Someone with a 'Spockonian' attitude might say, 'whats the difference between human & animal bodies going into the soil ?' each must fertilise in its own way. Now my mind has run off across the buttercups thinking that if I dig my garden deeply am I turning over someone's uncle, aunty, brother or sister ? You hear of 1000's being killed in wars & if not collected for a respectable burial then, where are they ??

Re: The YouTube thread [2]
{{ My youtube channel is weird.
Take my top vid- its this one, whch was fairly simple and fun to make and features a very old game (Elite Frontier: First Encounters), yet it has got an astonishing (to me) 5.2k views.
But the next nearest only has 363 views and is also only 17 seconds long and has since easily been supplanted by what can be done in new terragen or even unreal engine.
And the stuff I wanted to try to get people engaged in, well its all sub 100, most of them sub 50 views. And the stuff I really hoped someone would watch, the skyrim vr lets plays, well most of them are lucky to break 20 And my ramble vids, last got 5, and 1 of them I know was my mum, but that does mean 5 folk from here watched (which is pretty much all the regulars) so thankyou to each and every one of you for doing so.
But going on whats been most to least popular on my channel I can only conclude that the public taste is inscrutible! }}

Re: The YouTube thread [2]
If you watch a video here does it show in the youtube count?
Your top clip has a lot of action, the bottom clip is just a landscape. So I can see why the top would get more viewing even though the bottom one is more technically accomplished.
Not sure why many people would be interested in watching someone else playing a video game, though PewdiPie is the most popular channel. Don't ask me why, I don't understand it.

Re: The YouTube thread [2]
He is so right !!!! I don't want a "Metropolis" style world now or in the future. I thought I was worried about how humanity can go forward, now ?.....Im terrified. If we keep up this "yes sir, no sir, 3 bags full sir " attitude the future isn't bright, it isn't orange its dark, black & nothing. Already its got a touch of the film "Equilibrium" about it. All I ever wanted was to be happy, be at peace, don't wanna hurt anyone, rather hope you don't hurt me. Isnt that enough.

{{ These are rather lovely, Jon Pertwee reading an abridged version of Worzel Gummidge (who he of course played in the famous 70's tv series, hearing his Gummidge voice again takes me back) and Wind in the Willows read by Kenneth Williams. }}
