The first set of thematic clips (mithril, moria, etc) are quite nice. Of the history of middle earth clips I was watching the Witch King one, which seems to be an odd mashup of LotR movies, Game of Thrones, and other things I don't recognize. Rather incoherent, but nice visuals.

I actually liked that. It was fresh & different. Who's to say what went thru Tolkiens mind. What thoughts stayed with him. My grandad couldnt forget what he saw in the war so, how did it effect Tolkien ? Was LOTRs an antidote, an escape from some of the things that would not let Tolkien forget ?

I find myself intensely disliking most of the speakers. Insufferable prats. Probably just the mood I'm in: saw this some years ago and it didn't bother me.
