This was true for me at 22 and I'm not sure I'd call it music...

@Elthir, I must have just missed it.

I did re-read the first four Harry Potter books while I was at the beach, though my progress in the fifth (still early in it) has paused due to Otakon. A couple days ago I wasn't sure if I wanted to go anymore cause I was feeling pretty under the weather but today I shattered my previous record of 14 straight hours in the convention center (and surrounding sandwich shops) with a bit over 17 (that is to say, I was in my seat at my first panel at 8:45am and I finally left for my hotel room just before 2:00am). This is the first time I ever actually got to the convention center in time for the start of programming. I'm gonna try to do the same thing tomorrow but it's very possible that I will pay the price for today and be unable to function until noon. I hope not though; there's some good stuff scheduled for early in the day! Fortunately the people in the room next to us (who I think are also here for Otakon) are much quieter tonight than they were last night.

Back home now. Starting to crash after running on con vibes and very little sleep for three days.

Hey Eldo... I know someone who, in any context, can't spell "The Bride" without capitalization... and this person is thinking about getting the live action Samurai X trilogy on Blu-ray (or blu-rayskin?)...

... anywho have you seen it (I've seen some clips)? And if so, wondering what you think... if you have time... doesn't have to be an in-depth review or anything.

I actually have not seen the live action Samurai X films, but I've heard nothing but good things about them (at least the first one) from people I know through anime fandom who have seen them. I recall thinking that the effects looked miles ahead a lot of Japanese anime-based live action movies, which I assume means they actually had a decent budget.

I should probably check it out sometime, since Trust & Betrayal is one of my favorite anime films.

I think I'll use up a "not valid for cash" Amazon gift card, even though I'm unfamiliar with the anime versions. Thanks again!

I hope you'll post some impressions on here once you've seen them, Elthir. I love the premise of the whole series and while the TV version was a little more juvenile than I was hoping for at the time some of the other stuff in the series is really great.
