Re: WHOLESOME TALES
Yes, those ugly hobgoblin fairies are exactly how I imagined them. But, seeing those wilfuil fairie lasses makes me wonder just how lovely the good looking hobgoblin fairies must be! It would also explain why some hobbits could believe that the Tooks took fairy wives! Plain wishful thinking, methinks.

Re: WHOLESOME TALES
have read the first part now. It's brilliantly written, I can picture it all in my head the characters are really.. erm.. distinguishable ^^
Re: WHOLESOME TALES
Orwell was woken (by the sound of clanging pans in the kitchen) from a rather nice three course dream where he had enoyed some melt-in-the-mouth-lamb's-tongue as an entree, lashings of moist cabbage for the main course, followed by two wobbly jellies with cherries on top for dessert (he was just reaching for the cream jug when the pans woke him).
that is some really well used allegory (see, I know my stuff!)

If you understand that Neeek, you're more depraved than I realized! {{{I, of course, have no idea what Anon Author is getting at. I just sense something amiss... }}}

A little fairy of the goblin variety... and a small Troll.

Re: WHOLESOME TALES
It's funny how all these cute names like strumpet and trollop mean something else. I think in modern usage they have been changed from the dictionary definitions.

Re: WHOLESOME TALES
Trollop and strumpet mean different things? Maybe Fyordlandians haver a finer sense of differentiation in some sectors of life?
