He's saying my devilishly clever deduction that it was jupiter and moons was correct, not a constellation.

Wait, you can see the moons of Jupiter?? With your bare eyes?

I think Az means Jupiter... not the moons! Unless she is using that black magic of hers.

Is it Uranus?

Sadly the old eyeballs wont reach that far, but Jupiter was easy to see. In fact it looked eerie just sitting there, like an inquisitive Alien. I think Uranus is next in the sky isn't it ?

can't see Uranus with naked eyes. Saturn is the last one.

Re: Space and The wonders/mysteries of The Universe
Saturn is quite visible when it is above the horizon. Venus is really bright at the moment. Mars can be when it is up and about too.
I don't know if it is possible to see Mercury.... I have never looked for that one.
I'll try and get a better pic of Jupiter soon. Got some new eyepieces yesterday and can definitely pick out some cloud bands from my extremely light polluted location.

It's possible to see mercury - it's why the Greeks associated it with a fleet-footed god. Only visible briefly before dawn or right after dusk, near the sun. Not that I've seen it, I just know it's one of the 5 classical planets.

Which one? I have 2!!
Halfy - I assume it moves about depending on time of year and may not be visible at certain latitudes?

They are both good. I am getting some footage together of them at the moment... might see a video coming in a couple of weeks!

I could do with another picture of Bentley and his tennis balls.
