Do we like Norc?

Can I just go back to the guillotine for a minute and say just how fucking creepy this painting is? That guy in the middle is just like holding that head with the expression, "Hey honey, looked what I picked up at the grocery store." And the guy on the end is like, "lol, hang on dude, just gonna kill this guy real quick."

Re: Norc for presidency
I'm sure at the time it seemed anything but creepy.
The fact that well-dressed gentlemen could efficiently decapitate people into neat little baskets must have seemed the height of modern technology in its day, like a sales brochure for a new kitchen appliance.
That's probably exactly why it's so creepy now...

Norc has my vote, though as everyone has said, I'm not entirely sure if we need another mod.

Re: Norc for presidency
The only elected office in Forumshire is that of Mayor and, like in the original Shire, it's not an office that brings much (read: any) responsibility with it. However, since we have a picnic coming up, I think there's a good chance that we'll have another Mayoral election soon. It's been a long time since the last one.
Re: Norc for presidency
I'm the only person that voted no!

Not yet another Forumshiran trying to overturn the Benevolent Rule of the Beautiful Four, I hope?

Well, I certainly intend to run. I have no desire, of course, to have power over others. You'll hear from my campaign manager shortly. Vote 1 for Honest Odo.

Odo Banks is our man (hobbit),
If he can't do it no one can (not even Robert).
Don't vote for folk with names like Bungo -
If he's elected where will the fun go?
And people like that ghastly Norc -
We'll end up a pack of dorks.
Vote for Odo - he's an honest man (hobbit)
He will Purify this whole land (boggit).

Well, Odo certainly is experinced, knowledgeable, fair minded, good.... and, above all, Respectable - and he has never bribed me - not once... {{{Though Mirabella has obvious attributes too. If she was to run, I guess I could find myself voting for her. I mean, I am open to powerful women like her being over me.. }}}

Re: Norc for presidency
I didn't fully read the post before I clicked it!
{{{I probably would have hit no after reading the post too, but thank goodness for these encryption brackets}}}
But I thought that this was about electing Norc to a new Mod position? I agree then with whoever said that she might replace all our avatars with Cumberbums one chilly Northern night out of boredom.
I mean, if the vote is just about who should be president, then I'll change my vote.
Of course everyone here likes you Norc. We can all swear by proxy through you; it's very cathartic.

Re: Norc for presidency
haha, well, a little genius thing there, since the poll just says "do we like norc"
Re: Norc for presidency
"Do we like Norc... for new president/moderator?"
You have to read between the lines Norc, one day you'll master the ability.

Mayors are alright I guess.
But something like Tar-Bungo would be cooler!
Wait, don't we already have a tyrant?
