Bain! Unfortunately Petty has been missing for a week-plus, leaving only the whiff of peppermint in his wake as he scurries from thread to thread. Do you think you could catch him (preferably keeping the arrow damage to a minimum)?

Hmm... let's see what I can do.  I seem to remember leaving some of my old machinery lying about back when I had that experiment go awry.  Supremely sorry about going missing; if you see any swirly blue portals hanging about the old tower you should probably avoid them.  They don't always send you to the nicest spots.

Wait.  This is the old equipment I left here?  Half of it is rusted!  And horribly outdated, too.  You didn't even bring my encryption reader along, though I guess that's not really something you can take out of the Admin tower.  At this rate I might as well track Petty by the scent of buckie.  Not a bad idea if this entire place didn't smell like it... Anyway, looks like I'll have to build a new encryption reader to catch him.  This could take a while.

Yes, well, you see, there were an awful lot of shoes in the way of some of this stuff, so trying to polish it was a rather daunting prospect. Plus since Elthir stole my Lore Tower and I gave Amarië the keys to the Admin Tower I've been staying in this hole I'm renting from Odo, and it's rather a nasty, dirty, wet hole with an oozy smell. So with this amount of moisture in the air...

Most of the admin equipment should still be in Amarië's basement, unless Mirabella and the Shirriff's department has made off with any of it. They were always trying, I know.
