Re: Just...................whatever [4]
“The truth is that even big collections of ordinary books distort space, as can readily be proved by anyone who has been around a really old-fashioned secondhand bookshop, one that looks as though they were designed by M. Escher on a bad day and has more stairways than storeys and those rows of shelves which end in little doors that are surely too small for a full-sized human to enter. The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read.”

Sorry it was posted 5 times there were weird maintenance notices popping up and I wasn't sure what was going on...
Yes I plan on arranging several Tolkien related trips, like visiting his grave and the Eagle and Child and I'll be studying at Oxford for a week so I'll search for as much gold as I can!!!
And (in all seriousness) Buckie is a real beverage?

15% alcohol and more caffeine by volume than Red Bull!
Terrifyingly, it is a real thing.
Re: Just...................whatever [4]
luckily it seems to be found only in Scotshobbit land.
Oxford is gorgeous, small medieval city with golden stone buildings. I used to live there and loved every minute. Theres a great student café in the covered market, its called Georgina's. Theres loads of interesting places to eat in Jericho, I used to go and watch the Eagle ironworks foundry by the canal, it was like the workshop of Vulcan, sadly it was closed in 2005 and is no more, Philip Pullman wrote about it, he used that area as inspiration for The Northern Lights. but its nice down there. theres a canal with barges.

And we need a report from an unjaded tongue what bucky really tastes like. Even if not routinely sold south of the wall you should be able to follow clandestine tips to snag a bottle.

I must say, i was sceptical about drinking a wine with such vast quantities of negative press surrounding it, but how wrong I was.
This drink is perhaps the greatest man has ever created; the taste, effect of drinking and aesthetic it gives all combine to make YOU a BETTER PERSON. This drink can turn a poor night out into a riot, where chaos is the most likely outcome.
I must recommend that you all try this drink, however, you must drink the whole bottle to get the full effect. I would refrain from buying it here as it's rather expensive.
Going to a party? This is the ideal beverage.
WARNING: DO NOT DRINK TWO BOTTLES OR YOU WONT BE ABLE TO REMEMBER ANYTHING.
I give my most sincere thanks to the monks of buckfast abbey, i love you all.

A True Legend
By Skruffbagg on 23 Oct. 2013
The one drink that has stood the test of time for me, first drank when Iwas a 13 year old nipper, and still enjoyed today 18 years later.
An ideal pre/after party drink. If you're looking to power right through the next day then this is the drink for you.
Warning: Although you might think you can easily drink a second bottle at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon after staying up all night - and you most probably can - it's a rather dangerous idea. It doesn't get called "wreck-the-hoose-juice" for nothing. However with practice, this will become a standard action for the life and soul of the party.
Possibly the world's greatest drink, I can confidently say I will be buried with a bottle by my side.

Transformative Qualities
By Al Kayda on 28 Dec. 2012
I have always eschewed violence finding it both repugnant and painful. However, I hadn't reckoned with the powers of 'Bucky' and having been introduced to it, or rather having had it introduced to me, at high speed, I found it to have a transformative effect in so many ways.
Gone were my former anxieties and lack of self-confidence when in conflict with others, as were any sensations of pain. The extraordinary ability to confront others with complete certainty of a successful outcome was not ameliorated by any resistance on the part of those to whom I directed a new-found hostility and arrogance. Whilst not actually conferring superpowers, it did serve to heighten both one's personal aggression and indifference to lost teeth, broken jaws, black eyes and contused lips.
More effective than Tramadol, and certainly funnier than Frankie Boyle, two bottles of this will make you believe that Donald Trump and Cuadrilla's heavies are no match for you - when in fact you are rendered punier as the urge to provoke violence grows exponentially more irresistible.
A life-changing experience courtesy of the Monks of Buckfast Abbey. There's no going back to who you were after a night with this stuff!
