what does 'aud scunner' mean and does it apply to you? Been reading more Hamish Macbeth.  

Um, well, it could    - its not very flattering  - aud is just old, and scunner, is to be down on something, its more commonly heard in the phrase "I'm fair scunnered by...."
Meaning something has got you down, really down in a way that makes you just weary to be alive.  

whats a Teuchter?

Its a lowlander word for a Highlander- its meaning would be similar to a New Yorker calling someone a hillbilly.

What the fook is going on with all this "troll stuff"?, and Bree shutting shop ?, and what the fook is up with Stue ? and why is there a slanging match between he & Norc ? in other words chaps...while Ive been away.........WHAT THE FOOKS GOING ON ?........

1. Some really bored guy (mostly likely a kid) has been registering numerous accounts on here just to mess with people. No I'm not talking about Orwell. Someone else. He started off fun but got pretty old pretty fast.

2. Bree went offline for about a week back in like August or September due to technical troubles. It came back, but it's been down for several weeks now. No word from the current owners, but many/most of the active Bree-landers have found their way here.

3. Stu pissed a bunch of people off on Bree with some moderatorial decisions he made, and then came back here and got into a spat with Norc. He's also previously made some inappropriate comments towards her.

Thanks Eldo ! All sounds like pretty normal, daily events in Forumshire.
Thats what I love about here so much ! the diversity !

Some of you may remember that I lost my cat to coyotes about 3 months ago. Now that it's turning cold and there's no resident predator in my house, there have been many little furry creatures trying to move in with me for the winter.

For the last week there's been a chipmunk that's been destroying my kitchen when my back is turned. I love chipmunks, but this one had to go. So tonight I ambushed him. With a sledgehammer. In the kitchen. Not an easy thing to do. Still kind of sad.

I'm afraid it wouldn't have helped in this case Norc. Chipmunks like nothing better than climbing up high and throwing things at dogs just to hear them bark.
This is what chipmunks think of Dogs.
 
Can you imagine a little furry creature sitting on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard, throwing cups and saucers down at a dog and chattering  while the dog tries to climb up into the cupboard to catch it?

There is a dog that can climb trees. Though it's also called the New Guinea Singing dog, so it might be quite a noisy pet.
