The lead singer and the accordionist were telling jokes in between songs. I don't know why because I was only half paying attention.

Cause my brother is 16 and my mom didn't want him going into the city at night by himself. :PAnd I love my brother and he really wanted to go.
Petty: the show was headlined by a "folk punk" band that heads their own independent music collective based out of Tucson. The concert was held in a former church that is now owned by a neo-Marxist "workers collective bookstore and coffeehouse", which as far as I can tell means no one washes their hair more than twice a year and everything smells funny. The main act were preceded by no fewer than four opening bands playing various shitty indie music. I've prepared a sample of their lyrics.
There's this girl I know,
We smoked weed together,
Na na na na na na na na,
She was hot and we smoked weed together!
The main act wasn't quite as bad, but as much as I enjoy getting to spend time with my brother, I won't be going to any future folk punk concerts.

Most of it just sounded like generic indie to me but I can't say I was paying close attention.
