I dread to think what Petty grows in his garden its probably something prickly like thistles which he dries and then knits into kilts. or thongs.

I was thinking similar thoughts about Petty... you may have a point... explains the crabbitness to some degree...

One of my fish was sick! I had to remove it from the tank! I hope the disease doesn't get the others -- as I've got nowhere to transfer them to. I've done a refresh with new water - but can't do the lot or the current biology will be affected! I gave the fish some of my precious mealworms - as a treat - to help them feel better (I hope!) You know, mind over matter!

This farming caper isn't all beer and skittles! In my books the theory is all there -- it's all plain sailing if you've read the right sections - and possibly done a Uni degree and so, therefore, know just about everything there is to know about farming (apparently). I wish theories mirrored practicality and context more often.

Actually, reminds me of something my mother once said about baby care books. They're full of useful information about baby needs and behaviour (and training) but babies can't read them! My fish can't read them either! (Books about fish care that is, not baby care - though I guess it's a moot point anyhow! )

Anyway, I thought you guys best know what's happening.

(The fish is now ant food btw. Nature is marvellous ).

i can relate. I believe in that scripture All things in moderation. And also Let food be your medicine. If you have a little of everything you should do all right. And sometimes I use food for medicine, and it seems to work.
I was a vegetarian for a long time and started feeling faint and wierd. A chance thing caused my doctor to phone me and told me to come in
He asked if had had leukemia at one time and because of that he said that my red blood cells were only half the size they should be and only less than have as many as should be. No wonder I was so tired!
So he put me back on fish and chicken with lots of the usual veggies and legumes and making my own wheat germ bread and cruciferous vegetables.
And I was okay. So all my efforts before went down the drain. I immediatley felt better though I rarely want sweets except real cocoa and I dont eat chips , crisps or fast food . So , who knows. Also I dont drink, I hate it and the way people act, it makes me sad . But that is just me.
