PJ's return to form ZqKv5

The Return of the King (2003) - Masterful PJ

PJ's return to form 7UjCB

King Kong (2005) - Bad PJ

PJ's return to form 9Cfky

The Lovely Bones (2009) - Lousy PJ

PJ's return to form VeLqj

The Hobbit (2012) - ???

Does The Hobbit represent a return to form for PJ in more than one way? And does its success depend on whether PJ gains or loses weight between now and December? The photographic evidence is hard to argue with. Nod

I agreee with that except the masterful bit- at his worst would seem more appropriate.

The bigger the budget film the more catering the more donuts he eats, thats my theory. And that the greater the consumption the further and further he rolls away from what he is supposed to be doing and instead starts filming a sugar induced hyper mess.

He's gained a lot of weight since 09 and you can't help but feel its the pressure of the industry causing this which is such a shame as I doubt he will ever replicate that classic turn of the century chubby PJ look Crying or Very sad

A) No-whilst it was a more competently made big budget film, and more successful financially and artistically (The Lovely Bones was an overblown rather souless mess IMO, at least AUJ whatever it's flaws, actually felt like Jackson was connected to the source material, then again over confidence isn't exactly an improvement...)
B)Unfortunately we'll never know...

Well PJ has regained more weight since I made this thread, but DOS was even worse than AUJ, so I'd say that the quality-weight connection was perhaps not as strong as I once supposed. Razz

I was watching the AUJ appendices and his weight was all over the place between cuts! It clued me in to what part was filmed when. I think he gained the weight again after his ulcer thing he had. But yeah he's back to chubby but with salt and pepper hair that looks like a cow licks it every morning. That or he straightens it while blindfolded...

Even a blind man can have good-looking hair. He must straighten it by pouring grain all over his head and letting a herd of goats lick it all out again.

Didn't his hair used to be curly?? I don't get it!

Yes they'd be goats with giant balls just like that pig in Hobbiton. In fact, it probably was the pig in Hobbiton that does the job every morning. That's how it got it's cameo.

Wow that was weird... Shocked No
