Survey!! Empty Survey!!

Post by Lorient Avandi Thu Apr 19, 2012 8:44 pm

Hey guys, I know I haven't been on in a while, but I'd like to start out with this; I have to do a survey for school and here is the question::

How many hours do you watch tv or play video games per week?

Lorient!! So glad you have returned to us- we were wondering if we had offended you or scared you off (well, at least I was!) So glad to see you about.
For me I spend my time on pc- watch all my films, tv, browse the web and play all my games so its hard to quantify how much time I give to each.
It also depends on other life factors like work (or lack of).
Assuming I am working- then only a 2-3 hours a day on days with shifts with the odd 5-15 minute log in during lunch etc.
If I am not working can spend 2-3 hour just gaming in a day. I only watch tv when I have something specific to watch- Im not the sort who just channel hops in the hope of finding something to watch- so tv I dont really watch much of- about an hour a day probably averaged out as I can go days without ever watching any tv.

sorry Lorient I am not much help, I dont play video games and I hardly ever watch tv, as italian tv is crap. Maybe I watch the news each day so maybe half an hour to one hour of tv a day max. Or if there is a good film. I do use more my notebook to log in here, maybe one to two hours a day in short bursts of activity.

Thanks petty! I just didn't have time for a while and then just lost the habit. But thanks for welcoming me back!

G'day Lorient. I have never tallied times neither, but I reckon I'd watch TV on average about an hour a day (docos mainly if good ones are on) though my viewing all over the place (sometimes hours, sometimes not at all), I read for about an hour or two each day (books, mostly non-fiction nowadays); but not much video gaming, only rarely. I probably spend an hour on average in Forumshire every day, if that counts as reading, though I've had heaps of other stuff on lately, so I've been a bit come-and-go for awhiles. Very Happy

Glad to see you back, Lorient.

I don't do video games - I mainly watch public TV documentary or (dare I admit it) cooking shows (food porn), which probably averages about an hour a day, maybe 1.5.

Um, not corn cobs, Wisey (ouch!): apple pie.

(We'll see how long it takes someone to figure that out.)

Lorient, my sincere apologies. There appears to be a spate of thread highjacking going on these days. This was such a fine, upstanding thread, but some people just can't seem to sit on their hands and behave themselves.

I would like to rephrase one thing... I spend about an hour and a half a day looking at the television, not watching. If there is football on then I tend to watch all of that... then it is sitting down as kids watch thier stuff which is where the looking comes in. Then some time looking at things like repeats on Dave when in bed as the missus likes a bit of evening telly.

I would like to game much more, but probably 3 or 4 hours a week. This week I managed about 8 hours!!

I come on here at work quite a lot as everyone else seems to be very slow at their jobs so can get away with it while still being quicker than they are.

Halfwise does Ferguson watch them with you?, I bet you say 'Ferguson, that looks tasty, I will have that for luncheon, and that for Dinner'. and then he scurries off into the kitchen to rustle you up some of Carlo Petrini's slow food, but quicker. Very Happy

His job is to stand with a jar of Grey Poupon at the ready.

And Ferguson doesn't prepare the food, my no. That's for Anatole. Ferguson draws the post prandial bath. Really, you have got to get the roles straight. A butler poaching turbot?! My establishment may be modest, but it's run along the most proper lines, I assure you!

Is it delicately spiced rather than cloyingly sweet? Complex and earthy? I might have to send Ferguson out to acquire a jar. Round trip taxi ride is only about half a day's wages for a domestic, seems a worthwhile expenditure.

Oh dash it all, what was this topic about again?

I can just imagine Ferguson with a slightly worried look on his face, in a yellow cab, hugging your poopy closely to his elegantly attired chest, while the cabbie rattles on in khazflippinstan oblivious to our Man's consternation. Shocked
