Resurrecting this because I think the soul of Chris Christie was shown on Jon Stewart's Daily Show.

The third segment shows him best, though the Springsteen stuff in the first segment is cute. Skip the second one, but in the third one he has some choice remarks to make about how politics is done in this country.

Re: US Presidential Election 2012
That was a great interview Halfwise, thanks for posting it. Jon Stewart really has a great rapport with a number of Republicans whom he disagrees with and it's great to see him go for an in depth discussion. Plus it was also quite funny.
I really hope that Christie, Jon Huntsman, and other moderate Republicans are able to drag the national GOP back towards reason. There's a lot of variation in the state parties and there are plenty that have remained reasonable but it would be really nice to see a respectable, electable Republican nominee in 2016 even if I'd probably still vote Democratic.

If Christie ran, he'd probably win. I may even vote for him in hopes that he might be able to crack the bulwark of bullshit that currently obtains in washington. A faint hope perhaps, but well worth having a republican in office for. Sort of what Guiliani did for crime in New York.

Re: US Presidential Election 2012
George W Bush and Barack Obama somehow ended up at the same barber shop.
As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken.
The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.
As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Obama in his chair reached for the aftershave.
Obama was quick to stop him saying, “No thanks, my wife Michelle will smell that and think I’ve been in a whorehouse.”
The second barber turned to Bush and said, “How about you sir?” Bush replied, “Go ahead; my wife doesn’t know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.”

Re: US Presidential Election 2012
A British doctor, a German doctor and an American doctor were chatting.
The British doctor said, "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man put it in another and have him looking for work in six weeks."
Then the German doctor bragged, "That''s nothing, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in four weeks."
The American doctor, not to be outdone, says, "You guys are way behind. We took a man with no brain out of Texas, put him in the White House, and almost immediately afterwards half the country was looking for work."

Why would Obama care about a year-and-a-half old photoshop? More importantly, why would anyone else?
