Instruments!

I would like to know if anyone has any musical talents!! Share them here!

(As usual, I'm being random)

As I hope you already know, I can play the violin and i'm going for my Grade 3 exam in November! I can play the out-of-tune piano at home a little bit, and this year I'm going to start Clarinet! Apparently I should start straight at Grade 3 for Clarinet as I already know technical stuffs!

It's the guitar for me. (And shouldn't this be on the Arty and Entertaining part of the forum? )

I can do that! Except for the piano bit!

I used to play trombone in the school band, badly. Not my fault if you pull the slide part in too fast all your buckie goes shooting in your mouth and out your nose.
But in defence of the trombone it is far and away the best instrument ever for hiding around corners, waiting for people to sit down and then making comedy parping noises. Can't do that on a guitar!
Talking of which I cannot say I am suprised Orwell plays guitar- typical- bet he learnt to attract the ladies -hate guitarisits!- not bitter, not me, no,- but what is it about a man plucking that attracts women so? You'd think the guy with the expandable instrument would be the one- not that I'm bitter over being forced to play trombone or anything like that, or from being made in the school band to play so far at the back I was practically playing in someone elses band. Or how I was asked to do my performance from the specally made, and as it turned out soundproof, 'trombone hut'. No, not bitter in the slightiest, not at all.

Amazingly good reason for sticking at the guitar, in fact! (Missus never liked the guitar mind. It's like she doesn't trust me! )

Guitar since year 7, Eko 12 string but I've stopped the lessons now I'm in Sixh Form. Also play the ukulele! Had piano lessons when i was a kid, so I know where the notes are and I can read music if I stop and figure out the notes, write them on the sheet music and then slowly play!

Good luck with the exams squash (hope you had a lovely holiday too!!) i'm sure you pass with flying colours you seem a very musical kind of person

and oh, it's a well known fact that men who can play guitar are instantly hundred times more attractive than men who can't! (as long as you're not only playing the opening to Stairway to Heaven, or wonderwall by Oasis- pah!!!)

No, but 97+ on beatles rockband on hard does!

ahaa, well you should, I had my uke first before my guitar so it took awhile for me to figure out the fingers I'm glad you remember too

I guess I could mention that I like to sing though I'm not the best ever, but some people think I'm pretty good. I also used to try to play the piano (key word is try, I was horrible) and I've played around a bit with a lap harp and a recorder, though I was horrible with those too.

I can blow my own trumpet (apparently)

I can play a couple of songs on the harmonica (including the flower of Scotland, Petty )

I've always said Ringdrotten you were a Norwegan of taste and discretion (well you have to be with all the herring stuff going on )

i play on my tensed nerves. they're so in tuned.

I play piano. Strictly for fun these days.
