Re: Out of town
It's the modern retelling of Alice in wonderland that syfy did (that I gave it's own thread) It's only a two parter, but a number of other sub plots were hinted at and I am trying to work them into an interwoven sequence with the main story. What i've done so far is up on fanfiction and a few people are following the additions. My main reason for posting it there are hte motivation of seeing people looking at it is keeping me going, but it's going to be a long job. I'm writing about two thousand words each fortnight so far!

If you are feeling brave Kafria stick an extract from your writing up on the user fiction thread. I'm sure we will all be gentle (well possibly not Odo you know what he's like!)

Yeah and you will get nice feedback from me (though not I fear constructive feedback) 'cause I don't want to be a mean person! I'm just nice y'know!

Re: Out of town
I wish I had come here before I read your fan fiction, Kafria... Though, I guess, it would not have much altered my response to your tale on the Fiction section.
Btw I thought I was quite clever thinking of Alice in Wonderland! I actually thought your tale was based on an eight part TV series involving mentally ill people called "Wonderland" or similar. I skimmed it on google. Did I get the wrong series?
That's the trouble with me, I'm flighty, and have the concentration span of a newt, and the remembery of a Timon. I'm not your solid, down to earth Odo type!

I do worry about Ally. She's disappeared again. I don't suppose you'd know how to contact her, Saradoc?

Re: Out of town
Ah! "Yippee you can't see me, but I can you..." (from memory - it's been a long time). Oh yes, "Oh Mother, tell me more..." And, "I've got a bike...." Things were better in those days... Puff-puff and vodka days -- I can remember that too... Eeegad! Why was I forced to grow old?

Re: Out of town
That looks like a gorgeous town and beach; definitely much more natural and relaxing than the resort towns I'm used to seeing. It's good to see you back Kafria, and I hope the two of you enjoyed yourselves.
Re: Out of town
Hope you have a lovely holiday Tin. Hope you had a good time too Squach and Kafria! I spent an enjoyable week or so at the beach, had fun reading Petty's comparison thread on those two films. An enjoyable read. Might just watch the animation now.
Also managed to catch up on some reading (nearly finished part 1 of Storm of Swords, bit of a slow read to be honest, so slow I even resorted (for a short while) to reading some Chit-Lit about a WAG of a star football player who plays for a fictional club who has problems with the younger girlfriends...but I went back to Martin after coming to my senses!

Re: Out of town
Perhaps Orwell and Mirabella are bogged down with Shirriffly duties? Odo always struck me more as a gentleman of leisure, though, especially after his release from the Lockholes.
Re: Out of town
Just a few hours now and I'll be off! It's highly unlikely that I'll have any access to the internet for the first six weeks, so it's farewell for now My train leaves in a little less than three hours, so I'll pop in before that Right, got to shine my boots..

Eldo! How did I miss this slur on my character! I'll have you know my hard and never ending (mental) work on behaf of all things decent never ends!
As to you, Ringdrotten, I hope you plan to behave properly, you spending all that time away with all those young men... I advise: no skinny dipping - six weeks is a long time to be away from home and college girls! {{{{{ }}}}}
