What's the current situation on the archives anyway? The link seems to be down.

The same as it was last time you brought this up, unfortunately. I did try to get something set up but unfortunately there was an error in the database file we got (something related to the forum skin, I think) so it wasn't loading onto the new forum shell. It was a bit above my paygrade to be honest and after trying for a couple of hours I gave up. I still have the file (and the web space) but haven't gotten around to trying again. To be honest, the archive is dwarfed by the posts we have on here so I don't think it's as big of a deal as when we first got our hands on it in 2011.
Re: Our old posts...
I think I still have a copy of that file somewhere too Eldo for safe keeping.
Unfortunately you gave it to a drunk for safe keeping so exactly where it is, well thats a mystery all on its own Im afraid.

We were youthful and full of exuberance then. There's treasure to be had in the archives. Keep them safe.

Re: Our old posts...
You can still found a fair but of stuff that was copied and pasted here in the very early days of the new forum. All of the threads below are copies of old forum ones, though some subsequently resumed discussion on here.

That's gold! Could you sticky it or otherwise make it easy to find in the Old Forum thread?

Re: Our old posts...
I can just copy those two links into the archive thread, if that's what you mean...?
Re: Our old posts...
I just don't want them buried in the middle of a thread where we can't find them. They need to be on top - if you mean to put them where the broken link now is, then yes, that would be tops!

Re: Our old posts...
I know administrative stuff gets tedious and boring; the fact that after so many years you can still bring yourself to respond nearly instantly is somewhat miraculous.

Re: Our old posts...
Aww, thanks Halfwise. Most of it's fairly simple and I know this place like the back of my hand (and when my memory slips I have Google site search!) so it's not a problem.
