My thoughts will stay with you, Leelee. I hope that Desiree, yourself, and the rest of your family are able to get through this together. I can't even begin to imagine what this must be like for you, but I truly hope everything turns out okay!

What you are missing there Chris is a Tolkien friendly edit of LotR's to watch on it until then- which is a lucky coincidence....

Gladys failed a Health and Safety course at the Senior Center today.
One of the questions was:
"In the event of a fire, what steps would you take?"
"F***ing' big ones" was apparently the wrong answer.

having brewed myself and knowing how time consuming it is, I suspect the white house chef or someone equivlent does the major work with creative input from the president.
My guess for a honey ale is that it's flavored with citrus peel.

Re: Just...................whatever
A great portion of our district had our water cut off for eleven hours, from six , tea time last evening, to breakfast this morning. It was so hard really to get through it and I thought how we take plumbing and sanitation and water for granted. I noticed that nearly everyone including my family went to bed early and no one wanted to eat much or have tea and cake because well we would have to use the bathroom and no one wanted to .
So when I awoke at four thirty this morning and waited out the last half hour until the water came back on I felt so grateful for the amenities we take for granted in this life, in our society and at last when I tried the tap and the sweet crystal clear water flowed I felt humbled. It was the loveliest sound in the world.

Yes, I felt sick to my stomach when I heard the utilities of Bagdad were being bombed in the Iraq war. There is nothing crueler you can do to a city, and it was just 'to cut communications'.

I see you planted those seeds I gave you. Well done! I'll make a farmer of you yet.
I call that variety "Cupid's Wee Arrow". When they're younger they can look like this:
((Scared of carrots, Mrs Figg??? Whatever for?
Perhaps there's another fruit or vegetable I could interest you in?
Just name it and I'll see what I can do for you. ))

I hope you're not like Morgoth, David. You know, distorting Eru's creations into mocking-semblances, and perhaps all in you own image!

Fitting.
I'm not sure Bugs should be eating Dave's carrots, though.

Re: Just...................whatever
I feel like I could just die.
So tired, so very tired.
With all the expense this last year for little Hasia who has to have speech therapy by a formost and fabulous speech patholigist, all the meds and transportation for my Desiree, seeing specialists between two spots nine hundred miles apart, and the thousands upon thousands i have to use for the trial six hundred miles away the other direction into my little brother's suspicious death, I needed extra money in order to go on with my criminal law degree, i want to specialize in forensic handwriting analysis and further to forensic speech pathology. So, needing to work only at night or part of the night so I could be home for Hasia and school I accepted some contracts for cleaning different businesses. Well the one is a brand new pub, dance, restaurant deal and I clean it on friday and saturday. The after hours mess is not to be believed. It is an eleven plus hour job but my business partner an I have only five hours to get it done and be home , he has another job.
We do indepth cleaning, our reputation is important especially with the banks, but I admit I nearly cried when I saw all that had to be done to bring that disaster back to pristine cleanliness. The first morning after i started I woke up terribly thirsty and having to use bathroom. I usually have to get up at four thirty a.m. anyway but i was horrified to see i could not move a muscle, nothing except finally my hands. I had to drag myself to sitting position then do leg stretches like when i was in ballet and then foot massage just to be able to stand. I hate that the first simester is costing 8,500 dollars. How can any course be worth that? But whatever....
I just can't wait until tonight.........sigh. still at least I have work that allows me to study and be here for Hasia , so no more whining. Thankyou for allowing me a place to do it here once in a while. Hugs to everyone.

All the best, Leelee. Having kids can bring out the superhuman at times. You'd never know what you are capable of without them.

Re: Just...................whatever
Thank you Halfwise, and you are so right about having children. And they are worth every sacrifice, just every one.
Right now though I wish i was in the farthing of Manhattan, I need to purchase some really quality items and if you know what you want you can go straight to the place, get in and get out. I honestly don't like the hugeness of New York, it is too much for my mind, but still, for a tiny while, that electric anything can happen and the glitz is pretty nice. I always associate Manhattan with Christmas , the best of the best and the gorgeous packaging, and of course Jerry Seinfeld. I hope you are enjoying your apartment, is it industrial, a loft, or something out of the ordinary?
I remember that Seinfeld episode when someone the group knew or something died and instead of grieving they were already putting bids in for the apartment. It was quite horrifying and dog eat dog, but it made me smile just the same.
