Hey I remember that summer- was in 1978. People still talk about it.

15C is certainly not summer. Though maybe I'm spoilt by last years summer. At one point we had 28 degrees on land and in the water. Sitting by the water reading Wheel of Time. It was gorgeous.

I looked back and for some reason I didn't have a picture, but I had a video. So, I made a gif. Not really sure why I made that video, I guess it was just a nice evening.

15 degrees? luxury. we never got above 13 degrees inside before we got one of those new stoves, now it goes up to 19 degrees whoop whoop! the walls have two foot thick stone but the windows and doors are letting out heat as soon as its produced, they are crap, the glass in the windows is so thin you can feel the wind coming through. drafts a go-go, its not very ecological. last night there were 100 mile an hour winds, loads of damage everywhere, hundreds of trees blown over, the wind howling in the mountain like wolves, or wargs.

Most apartment buildings in New York run on steam heat to radiators. You get all this hissing, and random clanking as sections of the radiator heat up at different rates and pop against each other. For the first week or so I couldn't sleep with that going on, but then I learned to associate it with keeping me cosy warm, and know not to get out of bed until the morning clanking tells me the room is heating up.

sounds like Steampunk really took off in NY, are the radiators made out of brass?

Thanks guys I'm sorry for being such a sneaky birthday boy, but being a troll hunter means I have to be careful about what information I make available for the trolls to read - who knows, they might plan an ambush on my birthday party some day
