It does. Well, not right now. But pretty consistently.
It's "tiddelibom".
It's "tiddelibom".

I do so love that song.
How in the name of all that is sacred is "kjøpe" pronounced?

I wish we could get a video of her actually performing it.

Now that depends on your dialect!
Ok, um... take Chu like in churn + and Pe like in Petty, and say Chu-pe. No silent e's.
Should be about right... depending in your American/English dialect/accent of course.

Why couldn't you just spell it right to begin with?

If you'd just stop scribbling all over perfectly good letters we'd have an easier time!

To be fair, if it was spelled "chupe", I don't think any of us would have pronounced it right anyway.

Vietnamese is written using a variant of the Roman alphabet, but whoever was in charge of that adaptation had a serious addiction to diacritics. To wit:

Re: If you could learn another language, what would it be and why?
i always wished I had learned my countries native tongue Gaelic.
But it just was not taught when I was young in fact it was actively frowned upon, as was talking in 'scots'.
I had sadly imagined it had died out in my family with the passing of my grandfather on my fathers side, he was the last who spoke it in our line.
But my brothers girls are taught and speak it well now. And that makes me very happy to see it beginning again in the family line.

I'm not sure I even want to know you Fjordians are talking about sometimes. You're welcome to your own perversions, we'll just imagine you're talking about soda pop and sliced fruit.

Well, since you insisted on shovelling on the labor, I enlisted the help of Google translate for this one. I'm not making up what came out:
"Finast fragrance va smell toe oil and sea!"
And that was the most comprehensible bit.
No, no...you are welcome to keep your thoughts to yourself: keep them encrypted, keep them safe.

Finast parfymen va lukta tå olje og sjø = The loveliest perfume was the smell of oil and seawater. It's a song about a guy who goes off to the sea and leaves his girl behind Very beautiful song, if I may say so.
No one was beautiful like you that day when I left
We were both too shy to say good bye
Sounds better in trøndersk

Re: If you could learn another language, what would it be and why?
Mhm. I would say "ta".
Also, if it really had been toe oil, it would have said tåolje in one word.

Re: If you could learn another language, what would it be and why?
I'm more inclined to believe Fjordians find toe oil to be romantic than Google Translate is capable of missing a translation due to context.
Shyly he handed her a small wrapped bottle. She looked at him in surprise. "Go ahead, open it", he prodded. Gingerly she peeled back the wrappings, then caught her breath.
"The finest Trondheim Toe Oil!" he said proudly. "For me?" she gasped, then burst into tears.
