I've watched one or two episodes and it didn't really grab me.

It is worth giving it a shot. As almost every other tv-series, community is a "slow-starter". It takes 4-5 episodes before you grab it. I think that is what happened to Norc (correct me of im wrong). But yeah, it is a good show!
