Changeable here too Eldo- went for a walk over the golf course today, was a bit, marshy shall we say-

Looked quite green when the sun came out though-

Tales of Home [5] - Page 2 IMG_0336_zps5bb66898

And the gorse is nice and yellow-

Spooked a deer too-

Then it got a bit cloudy again-

the deer have a different face in England.  Yours look more macho, ours are cuter.

Tales of Home [5] - Page 2 Efqu4l

but then looking for pictures I saw a bigger variety.  Our western deer look more like yours, but our eastern deer are kinda cuddly.

You should see the adult males, actually if your close enough to actually see one that means you've already ignored its warning barks as you approached (a strangely frightening sound) and are about to be gored to death.

The little buggers all look like that. But we have too many of them now. Between killing off predators and planting gardens the population has exploded, and by some estimates we actually have more now than when columbus landed. Communities are sponsoring deer hunts, sometimes pay professional hunters.

What age would you be teaching to? Obviously it makes a huge difference. I didn't realize you so skilled in Piano, Bungo!

BTW Az, I didn't take that deer picture. I don't have a good enough lens and they don't let you get so close.

Beginners, little kids. That's what I'm comfortable with at the moment. Would like to teach intermediate, too, because that's when they start getting into easy repertoire, working on fingerings, being musical, etc.

One-on-one kids are easy. You just form a relationship. Groups of kids are more intimidating, but if ever in that situation it's like learning how to swim by being thrown in the pool. Can't be taught, gotta do your own thing. But as a piano teacher you may never get stuck with that.

Hope you get it even if the interviewer is out to lunch!

"Communities are sponsoring deer hunts, sometimes pay professional hunters."- Halfy

Here we have an annual deer cull, but only professional deer stalkers and groundskeepers take part and there are very strict rules about it.

The phone cameras have become incredibly good. I'm not gonna risk bringing one to Kilimanjaro, so have gone retro and bought a cheap digital camera. Won't be the same though.
