The Official 2013 Forumshire Awards

HAHAHAHAHAHHA omg... you will never hear the end of this

Our next award is a new award, and the most prestigious award in all the Forum Award categories.

This award goes to a person without whom we would all never have met, to a person whose patience (especially at the crabbit!   ) whose passion, whose wit and whose intelligence make them a more than worthy recipient of this award - the Fellowship Award, given for long standing service to Forumshire and for being basically all round a great human being.

There could only be one winner fully deserving of the Fellowship Award and I am genuinely delighted to be awarding it to them.

Thank you for all you have done for us, from the bottom of my drunken heart-

There will now be an intermission so I can get really drunk before the Creative Corner Awards and everyone can argue about the winners and/or make their acceptance speeches.

Well thats me lighter by about three barrels, and it will take about half an hour for the next three to work through, so its on with the show!!!

One of Forumshire finest assets and possible source of future revenue is Creative Corner.
From artist endeavours to prose, poetry and music our citizens do it all and with style, or at least drunkenness.

So I present to you the Creative Corner Awards.

And our first award this evening is for the Best Ongoing Serial.
This was a tight category, so tight in fact that we have the nights first joint winners, for Agent Nora Tales and Wholesome Tales its Mrs Figg and Orwell-

Some tales are much loved in CC, and yet for some reason they fade to a halt and its fans are left in bated breath for a future instalment.

Which is why we have an Award for Unfinished Tales- Stalled.

And the winner is, for Clarabell Cratchetty and the Faberge Egg of Doom-

woohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! the agent nora tales won!! congrats figg, u deserve it! orwell too, i love his writing, although it is well... walking a thin line

Not all tales Unfinished are lost in the ether however, some are simply not finished yet.

And for just such an eventuality we have the award for Unfinished Tales- In Progress.

And the winner is for An Unexpected Journey as seen by -

Though rare perhaps stories in Forumshire do sometimes come to a halt becuase they have actually reached the end!

For such tales we have the award for Complete Stories.

Forumshire is a visual sort of place, full of colour and life and larks.

But who is best with images and video- who brings us all the best visual delights.

To find that out we have the award for Best Use of Images/Video.

And our final CC award and indeed the final award of the 2013 Forumshie Awards is for Best Author.

Seriously guys this one means a lot to me because I read and enjoy all the stories on here and I know how good the quality of the opposition is, there really were so many worthy winners for this one.

I owould also like to thank Queen Tinuviel and even Huan, for hosting the Movie Awards this year and for making such a spledid job of it.

And a huge thank you to my fellow Forumshirians, who make doing things like these awards an honour and a privelage.

Now, raise your buckie, get up on the tables and get ready for Orwell to play us out with his Ode to Forumshire-

Now except for that Best Norcer award, I really worked for that one  , I can't really complain.

And I don't think anyone could take it away from you anyway without massing some massive campaign. And I would never do that to you. So I think your award is safe for the forseable future.   

What an absolutely brilliant evening !   Everyone deserved their awards !   The design of the award was great, the videos were great ! Watching Petty & Odo disappear down the rapids was the best opening ! And Orwells ending song just put the icing on the cake !    A really great night out !

Although I'm not sure if I was in the final video, that might cost someone some buckie...
