Re: The Riddle-Game
People speak through me, yet I do not make a sound.
I can bring you laughter between breakfast and tea,
Yet I can also break your heart easily.
I cover the earth like trees of old,
Whose leaves can blind and yet enfold.
I can bring you laughter between breakfast and tea,
Yet I can also break your heart easily.
I cover the earth like trees of old,
Whose leaves can blind and yet enfold.

Riddles and suggestive vegetables. It doesn't get better than this.

Re: The Riddle-Game
Well, Halfwise is elsewhere it seems. Here's a silly little riddle I made up at past 1 o'clock in the morning. Now I'm off to bed!
"Beneath the mound" am I,
Concealing more than concealed.
Put on by the traveler far from home
And to the fat man revealed.
"Beneath the mound" am I,
Concealing more than concealed.
Put on by the traveler far from home
And to the fat man revealed.

Re: The Riddle-Game
I am no good at these games, but is it a cloak of some sort?

What's beneath a mound? Could be anything. Is it a grave? A hobbit hole?
What does a traveler put on when far from home? A Hawaiian shirt? Sunglasses?
"to the fat man revealed." ?
I am stumped.

This one's good. Between a traveler and concealing more than concealed I have to think it's some kind of travelling purse with a pun on coffin and fat man's habits.
