Like the ancestor of old refers to both the water and the celestial path.

Eldo is close...

Eldo is close!?

Hrm...
Elf-friend. Co-author of the Red Book of Westmarch ("All we know")... If the celestial path is the One Ring... (which it's not, haha).

Well it couldn't be Frodo, could it?

Not Frodo. Bilbo served a specific purpose that you mentioned. Someone else also served this purpose.

"water flows through the veins" with a connection to Frodo and Bilbo makes me think it's a Brandybuck, but I can't make the rest fit.

But wait, how is Elfwine close to Frodo/Bilbo?

Elfwine and Bilbo were both part of framing devices that explained how the stories of Middle-earth made it to the present day. Elfwine visited Tol Eressea and composed the Book of Lost Tales from stories he heard there, while Bilbo (and Frodo and a few others) wrote the Red Book of Westmarch which was preserved until Tolkien discovered and translated it.

Ahem, I would like to direct the forums attention to the rules page. It was Eldo's well-earned turn, not Mrs. Figg's.
That being said, good riddle Mrs. Figg, and now back to Eldo!

Will her going out of turn cancel my turn? I think that's fair. On to Eldo.

Yes, I think it's best to nip this soft-hearted rebellion in the bud.

A genius won't give up his solution,
so you better read deep in these clues, son.
Jewels mean more to me than family;
Saying "fuck the police" just made 'em ban me.
That's right, I got more beef than Monsanto.
A wordsmith makes you envy his cantos.
The first consonant is the last bell that I'll ring:
You sing, my thing, make way for the King.

Feanor. At least based on the first half. Don't get the second half.

Yep.

Second half was based on: http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/The_Shibboleth_of_F%C3%ABanor But I know that's obscure which is why I tried to add some more obvious hints in the first half.

Beautiful. I thought about making mine rhyme, but it just seemed like too much work.  Razz

Thanks! Very Happy I need to work on my flow, but I tried to at least give each line the same number of syllables.

I think this is my favorite Tolkien-themed rap that I've written.

This is probably too easy, but want a rhyme and don't have time to obscure it:

I fall away from myself,
and to the elves sing;
I grant final haven
to those who bore the ring.
