Not sure- there is a thin link with Sherlock via Una Stubbs!

Wow.
One wonders at their reasons for including it originally, and then deciding to remove it.
Strange that it's not even included as a deleted scene, if it was in an original cut that Moffat felt was too long winded. Though maybe it'll crop up somewhere in the future.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
From reading what Moffat says he really seems to have thought it didnt work, I think given my feelings towards the stag do as is that he might be right about that, for me anyway.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
Yeah, though that was kind of what I was wondering. Was that the only reason? Or was there other reasons? Did they feel they went a bit too far in the fan pleasing direction, perhaps?
Though it might very well be that straight forward.

Haha, the feasibility of that might not be as small as one would suspect.
You could probably get through the entirety of the third season in gifs now if you wanted. Probably a couple of times over.

Somehow I'm not surprised. Though I'm guessing they still work best as television.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
well. it makes it easier to analyse every look/facial expression etc. etc. this is a bad example, i am sure there are better ones on this thread
Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
True. Might be a danger of overanalyzing though, if Martin is just trying to make Benedict laugh like in your post on the last page.
Though maybe that's half the fun.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
yeah, i know. but that is always the case, "did they do it on purpose or not? was it a deliberate choice?"
Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
Yeah, I know what you mean.
And I love those little moments of spontaneity. A lot of the magic seems to be in that. That's what you get when the actors really start to get to know one another and have great chemistry.
Quite like the video, though I guess someone must have had a hell of a job mixing that.

Re: Sherlock - BBC [3]
So I had a look, but I haven't found the whole thing of that Beyond the Fringe/Good Evening thing staring Benedict and Jonathan Aris (Anderson in Sherlock). But I found a clip.
