Okay, so today I mustered up the courage to listen/watch one of my performances from about 3 years ago. Some mistakes, but whatev. There are some moments in here that I'm really proud of, and I wanted to share it with you all.
I'm not the best person to comment on this because I'm not really sure what to listen for, but that sounded really good to me. Better than most of the recitals I sat through when I was younger, which are the only context I have (they included people in their late teens/early twenties). Around 4:30-4:50 is probably my favorite part.
Edit: quoting for new page.

Well, I could grab my score and point out all my mistakes. But I won't.
Thanks for listening, Eldo. It felt good to face a "ghost" from my past.

Yeah that whole section from around 4:10 to 5:00 turned out really well. I also liked how my chromatic runs turned out in the bass around 6:28 and 6:40.

Also, huffjuff, if your computer BSODs on you that often, you should look into running Linux instead of Windows. Though it could be a hardware problem, in which case switching operating systems wouldn't help.
It is a hardware problem, but I dont want to do an upgrade. This is a old laptop. I have used Linux and it works, but the motherboard is fried on this shit...

This is pretty cool:
This guy takes bits of YouTube videos and composes musical pieces out of them. This one's my favorite so far.

Well, I obviously knew you could play Bungo. With your piano teaching and everything. But with that being a couple of years old and you not being satisfied with it, I can't pretend I'm not impressed.
Though mastering any instrument can be a bit of a life project, certainly.
Thank you for sharing.

That's what one of my former teachers always said. Getting a "not bad" from him was always considered to be high praise.

Re: Music [2]
No real reason for bunging this up other than I love the tune, its probably my favourite music video of all time, and any song whose lyrics are about avoiding giant sandworms on Dune works for me

It's amazing what you can do when you're not clenching your butt cheeks to keep a pocket watch up in there.

Re: Music [2]
Like everyone else I made fun of Snoop when he changed his name a year or two ago, and I wasn't a fan of his first reggae single, but I decided on a whim to listen to his whole album and it's actually pretty dope for a late night jam to have on in the background. I don't know much about reggae but I like the beats and Snoop is a better singer than most rappers who try to make the jump are.
Re: Music [2]
I was paging through a book of Scarlatti sonatas yesterday doing some sight-reading and stumbled on a piece that I had completely forgotten I had learned a long time ago. I like to think that I have a pretty good memory of the things I've worked on over the years, but this one completely slipped my mind. Was really glad to rediscover it, and it's still a lot of fun to play.
