Lance; Norc; Amarïe; Halfwise;
So are you guys actually doing an actual recording session session?
I'm impressed.
Let me know if I can do anything.

Re: Music [2]
I play guitar and sing. Though by the sound of it Lance has the heavy lifting of the guitar playing well in hand.
I could always put on some acoustic guitar or some rhytm guitar. I also have acess to an electric bass if that's of interest. I'm not great on it though.

haha, nice find. I don't understand the language, but I can still recognize the tunes.Amarië wrote:
It reminds me of this rather lame high school graduation my niece was in. The audience were particularly idiotic and brought air-horns to use as applause, or something. When someone they knew were called up, we all had to lose several years worth of hearing thanks to their ridiculously loud air-horn blasts. Every single teacher there was fuming by the end of it.

We really need to put some time aside to do this before Christmas! Why do things keep coming up to get in the way?Bluebottle wrote:great!Norc wrote:oh, we could always need an electric base you're in!
Maybe I will get some time on Sunday.
Re: Music [2]
You lot are aware I am expecting this tune to be ready for roughly mid-December- enough time to put some nice visuals to it so it can be a centre piece in the Awards ceremony (hopefully along with a song for Forumshire by Orwell)

Re: Music [2]
oh.. that might be tricky...... i'll try. but if u guys can give some samples out (like i did) we can just look at the pieces we got, figure out where to go from there and then record what we've agreed
Re: Music [2]
Remember my skydrive is still available as a secure place for you all to upload your recordings to and share them easily for Lance to work his magic on putting them all together. There is stuff there still from when you started in the 'For Norc' folder.

Re: Music [2]
found some good sheets here http://www.scribd.com/doc/4183379/Clive-Mansell-Lux-Aeterna-Requiem-for-a-Dream-Piano-and-Violin (from the youtube videi) it starts on a g so lance will be happy if you guys want i can add a sort bass stuff kinda string, double it with the viola
Re: Music [2]
I want it to start on an A!!!! But I can drop my guitar a step to fit that anyway so all good.
Was just listening to the version of it you posted a while back Norclet... from youtube I think.
The bass line (on double bass maybe?) plays a GGD#D over and over. The violin line plays the pattern you mentioned, GGABGGFD# if we go with this key.
So.... I will drop my guitar a whole tone so that I can reach the bottom notes and try and post something... possibly tonight if I can get some time to hook everything up. At least then it will give people something to go from.
I will play the base line on my guitar (to be supplemented by the bass guitar later on) so you can play your bits over the top Nora... however you want to do that.
Hopefully we can come up with something good between us... maybe only a minute, minute and a half as our first project?

i will run out of strings if we start on an A and it will be in a strange position, i'de have to be in second position which sucks!Lancebloke wrote:I want it to start on an A!!!! But I can drop my guitar a step to fit that anyway so all good.

Re: Music [2]
Well the bass part looks incredibly straight forward.
The only problem is I left my condensator mic at my families cabin which is 3 hours away, but I can probaly get it back in time.
And G works fine for me.

Ja, jeg husker hvordan det var. Absolutt galskap.

Well, I have work too... that is also very busy. But at least I don't get homework so have some time afterwards. Do you have a lot of assignments to do outside of school Norc?
Re: Music [2]
well... not a lot, at least not at the moment, but there is gonna be tests and half-day tests and whole-day tests and stuff.. also there is the symphony-concert around the hobbit premiere and rehearsals around that and my quartett plays concert and soon will also the orchestra get christmas concerts to do too.. so.. yeah.. there is stuff. and i wanted to ask my dad for help, recording and borrowing his violin, so he has to have time. he works a lot now, making music for a short film (well, he might be finished with that now), studying medicine, working and yeah...Lancebloke wrote:Well, I have work too... that is also very busy. også, bluebottle. ikke for å virke pedantisk ellerno, men vi prøve å ikke snakke så mye norsk for å være litt grei med alle utlendingan her vi bare trolle litt i ny og ne
Re: Music [2]
Well, if all the planets align and you get some time it would be cool to get something done.
I will try and post something for you guys to use as a starting point anyway... then things can be added as and when people have the time to do things.
And yes Bluebottle - translating your Norwegian does become tiresome!!!
