The sticker plaster thingy! Women! Mad I had to load the program up to work out what the hell that was- the healing tool.

Odd thing is the way you use it is exactly the same way you use the clone brush. So not sure why its not working for you. scratch

quite spooky to think that once The Grand Canyon was once under water! I try & visualise how deep the Sea must have been at one point, sploshing around, & it gives me a sicky feeling! theres far to much water & not enough land!

My latest pic- think I might do a higher quality render of it and maybe tweak the camera position a bit. Any suggestions?

For some reason looks way darker on here, you might have to up your brightness- very annoying! Mad

I think the darker version is actually easier to make out details in, but that could just be my screen. It's a neat render either way. Is it of anything in particular? Smile *cough*yourforumshirevideo*cough*

Thanks for the feedback Eldo.
Well I need to experiment with light sources (like on the front of the train) for soemthing to do with the awards ceremony, so tenously I could use that excuse.
But mainly I got a new model of a train and wanted to try it out. bounce

Did a redo of the train pic- added in a station platform, moved some stuff around and made the sky more dramtic.

A tad too dark on the last one. If you could keep the interesting sky and saturation of the last one but lighten it up just a tad more than the first one I think it would be best.

Is that bright enough?- you should just be able to make out the words 'Forumshire- USA' on the station sign.

Yes, I can see it. My own personal totally lacking in qualifications taste says darken the rest of the train and landscape just a hair while pushing up the light on the sign an equal hair.

Thanks for the feed back folks- I'm opting in order to retain the contrast in the sky and landscape, to up the radius of the lights on the station and platform and increase their strength, hopefully this will light up the station more and leave the train going off into darkness.
And it should keep that lovely saturated look in the sky you like Mrs Figg.

This is what it looks like at my end! Mind you thats a simple one compared to the Forumshire one.
The bit in the red box in the main render window encloses the station and platform- just to give you a term of reference.

it looks like you are ready to fire the photon torpedos- Halfwise

That has happened.

I used to play games on my spectrum looked like that- when wireframe was cutting edge 3D- it has put me in good stead when using 3D apps to knowing where in the picture all the boxes are going to be.
Of course there would be less boxes on the speccy at once, and the sky would be all one colour-black.

Incidently, you may have noticed the train doesnt actually show up in the render window, well it does but as a big rectangular slab- this made putting the light on the front a bit like a game of pin the tail on the donkey, but where the donkey is invisible. Much crabbitness, swearing and buckie drinking ensued. Mad

If you are interested Azriel I can do a tutorial for terragen2- its as complicated as you need it to be- you can create very nice landscapes and skies however very easily and reletively quicly- within an hour of starting out.

You can download a free trial version here -

http://planetside.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=150

You will need a decent pc with at least a gig of ram preferably 2.
