Got through Episode 3, though from 10.53 on it was a radio play! Very interesting way of 'watching' Who, I must say. Very Happy {{{I think one of the girls had an orgasm, but I'm not sure! Shocked).

Now - episode 4...

So thoghts on the opening four episodes?

What about the Doctor in his younger days?
Spoiler:
And what of the first companions? Susan, Barbera and Ian? By modern standards the latter two would probaly be seen as too old for Who companions and too straight laced- I rather think however that it works.

I enjoyed them immensely, not always, but most often for the right reasons. Susan looks like an elf - or humanoid alien somehow. And the two teachers are great - very straight laced. I imagine Kafria for some reason. Very Happy The Doctor is particularly inept - which is kind of cool, really.

Getting used to the little by little story structure. I have to say I like the companions!

I like the dynamic with Susan, who can tell him off in the way only family do. It is nice to see that in contrast to recent companions.
I also enjoyed the bit of alpha male between the doc and Ian.

Not sure what to make of the doctor yet.

He seems very dismissive of others, set in his own ways, somewhat incompetant and yes somewhat ruthless.

I do indeed Orwell and here you go.

Interesting ones this as it will lead into the twisted world of Who canon- if there was any which the BBC deny- but thats for a later discussion.
First enjoy "The Dead Planet" and "Survivors".- oh and dont be confused by the Daleks title at the start- classic Who each individual episode had a name but episodes also fell into story arcs which also had an overall name - in this case The Daleks.

Know what I'll be doing later when my Missus runs out of things for me to do outside in the garden... Very Happy

(Women! Rolling Eyes You know, she expects me to pull my weight around the place, and not stay in Forumshire day and night. I mean, what if I miss something important? I said, "But I'm on holidays." Then she says, "Well, a woman with two kids who has a full time job too is still on duty day and night, 24/7. Oh gawd. It's true, but why do I have to hear it all the time and be made to feel guilty so that I do stuff? I'm a guy! Women have been doing mostly everything at home since Eve sinned and brought Eru's wrath down on Womankind. It's not like their fate wasn't deserved. And, anyway, I'm not here 24/7, just during my waking hours! Women! Rolling Eyes )
