Hobbit Goss

DISLIKED AND UPSET

It has come to my undivided attention that a few of our fellow forumers have expressed their dislike of our recent newspaper. It startles our production team and it upsets us that our hard work and determination is being taken for granted. We would like to know if there is anything we could change or add to make this newspaper better for everybody.

Today Gryffindor won over Slytherin in a heated quiddich match. Potter grabed the Snitch within ten minutes! Impressive! Malfoy was obviously upset when he punched Potter after the game.

Respectable or not, the Goss clearly has the superior sports section!

Amazing news is reaching us at Ally's Gazette, it's been revealed in the past few moments, that the owner of the famous Hobbit's Goss, is none other than the badminto- no, Squach! This is sure to upset houseprices in the forumland, as people will move out to become devoted followers of the "goss". Will this paper end the domination of The Archet Bugle? Or will they come back fighting? Odo, owner, said today: "*Nah, I'm sure people have enough sense about them to read something half decent. A bit like Ally's Gazette!"

This newspaper business is a minefield!
Do what I do Ringdrotten- When in doubt don't ask any questions in case you look stupid, nod a lot and act like you know what's going on.
I long ago gave up any hope of knowing when I'm talking to so called 'real' people and when they are a 'multiple person'. What the hell, besides, is not the response to a qusetioner more telling then the questioner?

Good advice Petty Sorry Squash (you will, I hope, forgive me for having small doubts still - I find some of your posts very Odo-ish )

I would like to complain that here I am spotting a nice quiet time on the forum to have a first spamming run and get my name down the list on the front page and someone comes along and starts answering my comments - making me start again

Personally, I found all that spamming on the Old Forum quite tiresome. I wish Eldorion hadn't started it.

Oh yes, just a wee thought: I feel that when we mention the "Old Forum", we sound a bit like we might actually be talking about Gondolin or Nargothrond, like we're looking back (figuratively speaking) on ancient (Silmarillion?) times. When you devoted guys bring back old Threads, it's actually like we're retelling the "old" tales. Sad, tragic, makes one very nostalgic, but proud of our history, legends and myths. (Wish I could recover some of Wisey's channellings, was a lot of fun - though mostly unrespectable, mind I feel a deep sense of missingness of all that rhyming. Like someone stole my children).

Indded Odo, the thread with Wisey's collected channelings is a grave loss. Even if we only ask for one thread to be returned to us from this Taz person my vote is for it.

I have just done a quick flick through all Today's posts (which could be Yesterdays ((or Tomorrows?)) posts for the Northerners here), and I'm sad to say I don't think there is one post referring to Tolkien! Even The Tolkien Toast Thread is all talk about "food"! I wish to complain. What do the Moderators actually do here?

I would like to complain about the above complaint.
My posts on the edits thread are Tolkien related, albeit third hand, Tolkien, PJ, me, but its still related!!

I would also like to complain that the above post contains the word Tolkien without being relevant to Tolkien at all! That's not respectable. Mods!!

I agree petty, the previous post bears no reference to tolkien, this poster is a fraud!

See Odo- even newbies can see the fallcy in your arguement. Outrageous. (you know I have reason to suspect this new person might be a fellow Scotshobbit- albeit a displaced one- hope he's properly crabbit and doesn't let the side down by being cheerful or anything )
