{{ Though if you dont want to go there or dont have an hour to watch above, this is personal highlight from it. Slowing the Doctor Who theme down so it sounds like Belgian jazz }}

I wasn't aware of this guy and had to look him up. One of his versions of three blokes go into a pub shows quite a refined understanding of basic quantum uncertainty. (though there's two kinds of quantum uncertainty).

{{ He has an interesting angle to his comedy, not just the music, others have added music to their comedy act, but there's often an intellectual surrealism underpinning a lot of it. Also a comedy panel quiz regular.}}

Re: Music [3]
Can't ever go wrong with the Blues!
What's surprising is how long it took me to realize it - my mid 30's. I thought my musical tastes were sophisticated because I collected all sorts of foundational music from around the world (Irish, Korean, Balinese, etc), but still hadn't developed a taste for America's lifeblood. Too much classical music in my veins I think: Blues is more sophisticated.
Just found out that nearly all the classic country singers (Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe etc) all credited their early education to mentoring by individual Blues musicians. I've always seen the Blues connection in later Country (especially Texas country) but didn't realize the connection went all the way back to the roots.

Re: Music [3]
Funny thing about bluegrass music, you'd think it was real old-time, but it was basically created by Bill Munroe in the 1930's. People didn't sing that high and tight or play that fast before him.
And like nearly all the country music innovators they took cues from old black musicians that mentored them. Bluegrass is sort of Afro-Celtic. The musical history has been literally whitewashed up until about a decade before, and is finally getting its proper attribution.

{{ Liked this cover of one of the bards songs from Skyrim, not sure what accent the singer has but it suits the song well }}

Re: Music [3]
Oh, singing completely distorts pronunciation. At least if you want nice sound. For instance the higher you go the more of an 'uh' sound you have shove in there to get the sound out. Try the 'yah' sound starting low and then glissando up high. There's trade-offs to be made between sounding natural as spoken and rounded tones.
Long story short, you're not gonna pull an accent off of a trained singer. They'll do what they must and pronunciation be damned.

Re: Music [3]
I've often expressed my disdain for much of hip-hop, but that does not extend at all to the original improvisational roots of the form. The modern popular stuff is too negative and lacking in creativity for me tolerate, but this group shows the real artistry of the form which is otherwise so lacking. Note the kaleidoscopic rhythms as they make things up on the spot.
They take a few words from the audience, and then just go for it. It's mental gymnastics, it's positive, and I'm all for it.
(note: though Lyn-manual Miranda was part of the group, he wasn't the driving force. This is not the best example, on TV I saw a much more fascinating performance without him.)

The french accent sounds sexier when sung. Got some of the same gutterals as arabic. Can't be pitched so they really jump out and send goosebumps up the spine.

Skipped around. Liked the end of the first one with the soulful woman, should have done the whole thing with her. La Femme is atmospheric.
